What Is a Houseparent?
Houseparents live on campus and help create a safe, structured, and caring home environment for boys at Miracle Farm Boys Ranch. They serve as mentors, role models, and trusted adults who help guide the young men at the farm through daily life.
Houseparents help provide consistency, build meaningful relationships, create an environment of felt safety and connection, and partner with staff to support each boy's growth and success.
Who Is This Role For?
This on-site residency role may be a good fit for a husband and wife who have a heart for mentoring young people, strong communication skills, patience, consistency, and a desire to make a lasting impact.
Previous experience working with youth can be helpful, but what matters most is a willingness to invest in the lives of boys and support the mission of Miracle Farm Boys Ranch.
"Sometimes I have good things to say and good ideas, but continually we say 'we don't change boy's lives here, we produce the environment where God can change their lives' and once you change that perspective it takes the pressure off from us. I think it makes us better houseparents too, because we're just creating an environment for God to do His work. And that we can do."
